"The Pre-Conception Collection explores those subtle, often unspoken moments when something feels “off” but resists clear definition. It represents an early awareness, a quiet undercurrent of tension beneath everyday life, where denial and uncertainty coexist, hinting at a need for change not yet fully realized.

Inspired by my roots as a sculptor, I’ve integrated sculptural elements into this collection to capture that feeling of subtle unease. These pieces feature abstract, three-dimensional silhouettes, asymmetrical designs, and layered forms, evoking a sense of shifting beneath the surface. Like sculpting raw material into shape, these designs reflect how we mold our external selves while navigating internal tension.

With a muted color palette that echoes emotional restraint, deconstructed seams, and unfinished edges, the collection embodies the unrefined state of pre-conception—a phase where recognition is emerging but not yet complete. The textures and layers create a play between concealment and revelation, much like a sculpture evolving into something unexpected.

This collection is deeply personal, reflecting my journey from sculpture to fashion design and the dialogue between these two art forms. Through Corii Burns, I hope to inspire conversations about mental health, encouraging an awareness of the early signals of growth and transformation."
